For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Berlin, Aussenministerium, Brücke, Spree Zentralbild Puhlmann-31.8.1967 Berlin-Die Hauptstadt der DDR im Sommer 1967.Seit Anfang des Jahres 1967 bestimmt der imposante Bau des Ministeriums für Auswärtige Angelegenheiten die Südwestseite des Marx-Engels-Platzes.Das Gebäude am Kupfergraben ruht auf einer mächtigen,1.10m dicken Betonplatte,ist 145m lang und 44m hoch.Die Stahl-Aluminium-Fassaden erheben sich kontrastreich und lenken die Aufmerksamkeit auf dieses repräsentative Gebäude.
