Summary

[edit]
Description Brockville, Ontario is midway between Toronto and Montreal and where the branch to Ottawa takes off from the mainline. In 1983 VIA was still running an overnight train between these cities. Since the distance isn't great there was no rush, and the trains laid over in Brockville for about an hour each night. That hour is now up, as train #58 (foreground) bound for Montreal starts to move. Train #48, the Ottawa section will start its journey up the branch in just a few minutes.
