English: An Afghan boy holds steady a military shipping barrel before the ends get cut off and flattened Oct. 8 at Combat Outpost Waza Khwa. Afghan forces are recycling more than 6,000 barrels that were stored on the COP before they take over responsibility. Soldiers from Task Force Blackhawk are participating in Operation Blackstorm, clearing the COP of U.S. military equipment prior to Afghan forces taking over. The money earned from recycling the barrels is slated to be used to help the local community and district center. |
