Description

Elementary School, Beit Yehoshua" was founded in 1928 as the school children of workers at Nesher cement factory. After his death, in commemoration Gen. operations Yehoshua Globerman a kibbutz living, changed the name of the school. School building was replaced several times. Initially classes were counted in the old quarry. In 1933 a school building was inaugurated near the cement factory. Following the migration of population and destroy the barracks neighborhood north of Nazareth and Haifa road a new building was built where previously was an British Army camp. One Building survived in Nissen huts

בית הספר היסודי בנשר בית יהושע נוסד בשנת 1928 כ- בית הספר לילדי עובדים ליד מפעל המלט נשר. לאחר מותו במסגרת פעולות הנצחה של האלוף יהושע גלוברמן בן קיבוץ יגור, שונה שמו של בית הספר. מבנה בית הספר הוחלף מספר פעמים. בתחילה נבנו נספר כיתות באזור המחצבה הישנה. בשנת 1933 נחנך מבנה בית ספר ליד בית החרושת למלט. בעקבות נדידת אוכלוסיה וחיסול שכונת הצריפים שמצפון לכביש חיפה נצרת הועבר בית הספר למבנה הנוכחי במקום בו שכן בעבר מחנה צבא בריטי בצריפי ניסן. מבנה אחד שרד בטח בית הספר. גגו הוחלף מגג פחי עגול לגג רעפים. הקירות המקוריים עומדים על טילם.
