Summary
[edit]DescriptionBallard - Eagles Hall (20th Ave Facade).jpg |
English: The Odd Fellows built their first lodge on this lot in 1892, facing Russell Ave, that original facade can still be seen there. The panic of 1893 hit the lodge hard and within a few years they lost the building and disbanded. After a brief occupation by Ballard's city government, It was purchased by the Knights of the Maccabees in 1900 and became known as Maccabee Hall for a time. They expanded the building to the South and East in 1906, adding this facade on 20th Ave NW. This building is currently home to the Fraternal Order of Eagles. The Louisa Building (1902) is on the left. |
