Summary

[edit]
Description
English: This infrared jammer tricked missiles tracking the hot exhaust of an aircraft by modulating a competing heat signature. By rapidly opening and closing the shutters on the “venetian blind,” a “hot brick” jammer could cause the missile’s heat seeker to enter an error mode and stop tracking the aircraft. Picture taken at the National Air and Space Museum's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, Virginia, USA.
