Summary
[edit]DescriptionAzem Palace Courtyard (48699679).jpg |
i wandered the palace grounds with a french couple. there was a caretaker who took us around but he only spoke arabic. the caretaker would describe something to me in arabic, then i would repeat it in french to my companions. it was the first time i used both my foreign languages like that actually, i couldn't do it. in my head everything went from arabic to english to french, and often something got confused along the way. after 20 minutes or so, i asked the french people if they minded if i just translated the arabic into english for them. |
