Summary

[edit]
Description This was a soft, dark purple ovoid nudule attached to the parotid gland in a 79-year-old male, who had been previously diagnoses with an atypical thymic carcinoid 21 months before. The cut surface of the nodule was very bloody and soft, not unlike a congested spleen in appearance.
