Description
Nederlands: "Elbert Veenendaal 1919-05-30 - 1945-03-19 en Barend Veenendaal 1917-12-09 - 1945 - 1945-03-19. De broers Veenendaal werden gearresteerd op 9 maart 1945 tijdens een wapendropping aan de Immenweg in Lunteren en van daar overgebracht naar kamp Amersfoort. Als vergeldingsmaatregel vort het doodschieten van een Duitse politieman in Amsterdam werden op 20 maart 1945 10 gevangenen van kamp Amersfoort gefusilleerd op de Appelweg in Amersfoort aan de achterzijde van de Juliana van Stolbergkazerne. Barend en Elbert Veenendaal waren 2 van hen. De houten kruizen met hun naam hebben op hun tijdelijke graf in Amersfoort gestaan. Elbert en Barend zijn bijgezet in het mausoleum op de Paasberg in Ede."
