5 May 2017. An interesting new fashion: Haringey/Veolia plastic bags are tied to the railings. Presumably an invitation to deposit more rubbish, especially when the bin is full. Or when the rubbish bags are too large to cram through the mouth of the bin. If the aim is an alternative to leaving rubbish on the pavement then - as the photo shows - it doesn't seem to work. Together with the grungy graffiti-tagged litter bin, the tied orange bag could even be adding another 'signal' that this is an informal waste collection point. |
