Summary
[edit]DescriptionAlong the Border - Flickr - USFWS Mountain Prairie.jpg |
The Gros Ventre River is the largest watercourse on the National Elk Refuge. The relatively wide river channel is heavily braided in areas where geologic materials are of low erosional resistance, as is the case on the Refuge. The river serves as a boundary between the National Elk Refuge and Grand Teton National Park. This view is from the Gros Ventre Road looking south toward the Refuge. Credit: Lori Iverson / USFWS |
