[edit]DescriptionAlbion Inn, cnr. Albion and Park Streets - geograph.org.uk - 967406.jpg |
English: Albion Inn, cnr. Albion & Park Streets Several streets of terraced, working class houses in Albion Place, Albion Street, and Volunteer Street, were laid out in the mid 1860s around the Drill Hall, erected 1869, and Steele Street was built in the 1880s. The inn itself also dates from the 1880s. With the Drill Hall close by and a steady stream of recruits, the inn was very busy in the 1914-1918 war. |
