Portrait du Dauphin, Louis de France. Portrait de la Dauphine, Marie Th érèse Raphaëlle, infante d'Espagne. Paire de toiles agrandies de 19,5 cm en partie haute (snas cadre) 160 x 116,5 cm. Restaurations. Provenance : ancienne collection des duc d'Audiff ret -Pasquier, château de Pont sur Seine. Louis Ferdinand de France est le fils ainé de Louis XV et Marie Leszczynska. A l'âge de quinze ans, le 23 février 1745, il épouse sa « cousine » Marie Th érèse Raphaëlle de Bourbon, deuxième fille de Philippe V, qui meurt l'année d'après. Il épouse ensuite la fille du roi de Pologne, Marie Joseph de Saxe qui lui donne huit enfants dont cinq parviendront à l'âge adulte.Le Portrait du Dauphin est la reprise avec variantes du portrait au pastel de Maurice Quentin de La Tour conservé au Louvre (voir C. Debrie, X. Salmon, Maurice Quentin de la Tour, paris, 2000, p. 94, reproduit fig. 37). Le Portrait de la Dauphine est la reprise partielle du tableau de Louis Michel van Loo conservé au Château de Versailles (voir le catalogue Musée national du Château de Versailles, Les Peintures, volume II, Paris, 1995, n° 5074, reproduit p. 899) Lot n° 30 |
