Description Der rund 34 m hohe Turm auf dem Gelände der Kuchelbauer Brauerei, ist eine Kreation von Friedensreich Hundertwasser. Der Künstler verstarb aber noch im Jahre 2000 während der Planungsphase. Gebaut wurde der Turm dann vom Architekten Peter Pelikan. Ursprünglich sollte der Turm 70 Meter hoch werden. Doch der konservative Bürgermeister und der Generallkonservator des Bayrischen Landesamt für Denkmalpflege (E.J. Greipel) erstritten vor Gericht einen kleineren Turm, angeblich um die Silhouette der der Altstadt nicht zu beeinträchtigen. Diese Silhouette ist allerdings extrem langweilig und absolut nichts sagend und interessiert keinen Menschen ausserhalb Abensberges. Des Turmes wegens kommen aber an vielen Tagen im Jahr tausende Besucher aus aller Welt in die verschlafene, niederbayrische Kleinstadt.
