Geschichtliche Überlieferung der Symbole: Der Hirsch als Wappentier von Passail stolziert in der Raab. Die beiden Felsen stellen den Lindenberg und den Gaasberg dar. Die geschichtliche Überlieferung des Zopfes ist, dass Anges von Pernegg anlässlich des Kreuzzuges ihres Verlobten Ritter Wulfing von Stubenberg den wunderschönen, langen, blonden Haarzopf abschnitt und ihrem Geliebten als Erinnerung mitgab. Der Anker versinnbildlicht die Schifffahrt, also eben den Kreuzzug. Dies ist gängigste Geschichte des Wappens. Es gibt geschichtliche Ausarbeitungen in denen der Zopf ein geflochtenes Seil darstellt oder der Anker als Barte (Waffe) dargestellt wird. |
