[edit]Description22nd MEU CBRN completes advanced, realistic hazmat training 130620-M-HZ646-357.jpg |
English: A dummy casualty lays lit by a red glow stick, which marks it for the rescue team, at the entrance of a subway station as a 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit hazardous material sampling team searches a subway car for an unknown chemical or biological agent during hazardous material response training at the Guardian Centers in Perry, Ga., June 21, 2013. Split among a reconnaissance and sampling team, the Marines searched for and marked casualties, located the chemical agent responsible for the simulated incident and sampled it to determine what it was, how to best eliminate the threat and treat the casualties. Eleven chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense Marines attended the weeklong course, which was custom-tailored to the needs of the 22nd MEU and follows the CBRN Marines' technical rescue training at the end of May.
