Deutsch: 04.07.2008 01326 Dresden-Pillnitz, Bergweg 3 (GMP: 51.011308,13.878200): Weinbergkirche "Zum Heiligen Geist". Der barocke Sakralbau entstand 1723-1725 als Ersatz für die Pillnitzer Schlosskirche, die für die Erweiterung des Schlosses Pillnitz abgerissen wurde. Er ist der erste ausgeführte Kirchenbau von Matthäus Daniel Pöppelmann, dem Architekten des Dresdner Zwingers, und gilt als "Wahrzeichen der Pillnitzer Landschaft". Über eine zweiläufige Treppe gelangt man zum Südportal der Weinbergkirche. Es besitzt als einzigen Fassadenschmuck eine zwischen 1726 und 1727 von Johann Benjamin Thomae gefertigte Sandsteinplastik. Sie enthält über einem Fries in einem gesprengten Giebel eine Doppelkartusche mit dem kursächsischen und polnischen Wappen.
