Description

Enormous figure of an octopus, Fremont Summer Solstice Parade and Pageant, part of the Fremont Fair in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle, Washington, 1995. The octopus consisted of a clear membrane with numerous helium-filled balloons holding it aloft.

In the background is the Empty Space Theater, which existed in Fremont for many years, but closed in the early 2000s.
