Summary

[edit]
Description

Like the 1932 and 33 Ford, the 1934 car was still available as the 4 cylinder Model C and also the Flathead V8, now the Model 40A. Built on the same platform, the two models shared body, chassis and trim. The 1934 car was very similar car to 1933 but the grille was now pointed and flatter with a wider surround. Straight hood louvres rather than the curved of 1933. Again available in Standard or Deluxe. The Deluxe was all one colour, (standard, black fenders) chrome windshield frame, 2 horns, 2 tail lamps, cowl lights, pin striping, a better appointed interior (woodgrain and dome lights) Standard models were available in 2 or 4 door sedan, 5 window 2 door coupe, 2 door cabriolet, 4 door phaeton, 4 door wagon and the 2 door pickup. Deluxe models in 2 and 4 door sedans, 3 and 5 window 2 door coupes, roadster and phaeton. Also 2 door Victoria coupe. The 34 Ford was not only built in the US but also in many countries including Australia. 1934 was the year the worlds first coupe utility was available, designed and built in Australia based on the Ford Model 40A.

Engine; 50hp 201 cu in 4 cyl (Model C) or 85hp 221 cu in flathead V8 (Model 40A)
