Description Floating boardwalk, the only one in Brisbane, has more than 180 tonnes of stainless steel in the 287 floating pontoons and includes a drawbridge so homeowners on this stretch of waterfront can navigate their boats between moorings and the river. The 850-metre boardwalk extends from the western end of Merthyr Road, New Farm to the northern end of Howard Smith Wharves is part of a 3.5-kilometre riverfront pedestrian and cycle route between the city and Newstead Park.
