Description 150925-N-VJ282-237 NAVAL STATION ROTA, Spain (Sept. 25, 2015) Adm. Mark Ferguson, commander, U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa, returns honors to the sideboys during the arrival ceremony of USS Carney (DDG 64) to Naval Station Rota, Spain Sept. 25, 2015. Carney is the fourth of four Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyers to be forward-deployed in Rota to fulfill the United Statesâ phased commitment to NATO ballistic missile defense while also carrying out a wide range of missions to support the security of Europe.
