Problem to access tool

Hi! When I try to login to set up a new round I receive this message of error:

B25es, Montage allows you to import photos from a given category or from a list, and grade them. It is up to you to decide whether you want to grade the photos for your two prizes completely independently (e.g., using different criteria), or you grade them together and then choose two suitable winners from the top of the list. Sorry to disturb you but we are having some problem.

  • Wiki Loves Falles-1 has five jurors and 220 photos (257 less 57 disqualified). We want all photos revisited by all jurors (quorum 5 jurors per photo). But the applications has distributed a smaller amount of photos (from 127 to 138) to each juror. We understand that all jurors should have 220 photos to check.
  • Wiki Loves Falles-2 has five jurors and 166 photos (185 less 19 disqualified). We want all photos revisited by all jurors (quorum 5 jurors per photo). But the applications has distributed a smaller amount of photos (from 94 to 106) to each juror. We understand that all jurors should have 166 photos to check.

Maybe we just made some mistake, but we cannot fix this situation.

B25es, I had a look at this campaign. When I start from scratch (i.e., delete the round, import the files anew, and set up the round), all files go to all jurors. I used same settings as in your first round. However, I switched off the jurors/maintainers/organizers filters, because I had bad experience with them in the past.
You can try to delete this round and create it again with the settings you want. It's possible that your problem occurred because you asked for a different number of jurors in the beginning and only later switched to five jurors per photo. Then Montage already took the earlier number into account and could no longer re-distribute the files. But it could also be that the filters do something strange and should be deactivated. --Alexander 21:52, 8 May 2019 (UTC)

Bad Request: can not activate empty round, try importing entries first

Hi! I fill all the information required but cannot activate the first round of WLE in Colombia. Maybe @Atsirlin: could help us?. When I try, appears the following message Bad Request: can not activate empty round, try importing entries first. I dit it. Three times. When I tried to start a round I put the category (the one above), and fill the required fields. Then save the round, appears the message "please be patient" and then an error "Internal server error: <ExceptionInfo [pymysql.err.InternalError: (1054, u"Unknown column 'img_user' in 'field list'")] (39 frames, last=Callpoint('raise_mysql_exception', 107, 'pymysql.err', '/data/project/montage/www/python/venv/local/lib/python2.7/site-packages/pymysql/err.py', 131, ' raise errorclass(errno, errval)'))>". I am afraid there is a problem with one of the files. Stephen or Mahmoud have to look into this, I simply do not have access to the database. In the meantime, you can try to make a list of your photos and import part of it using the 'File list' option. Then delete the round and import another part, and so on, until you recognize which file causes the problem. --Alexander 07:32, 5 June 2019 (UTC)

Rubén Ojeda (WMES), I can't finalize anything. You have to remove your missing juror and set the quorum to 5 instead of 6 (I would advise that you download and save the results before doing this, though; just in case). Rubén Ojeda (WMES), then your best option is to add yourself as a juror and quickly give all photos the same grade, which will not change the overall distribution. Or hope that MahmoudHashemi makes a fix for you, but I don't know when it may happen. Or, if you like, I can create another campaign where you manually add your best photos from the previous round. Bugs on photo selection

I've noticed a very annoying bug on Montage, which causes it to select photos from jurors and organizers that have been edited by others afterwards (like rotatebot or ppl using cropbot), and excludes potential winners that have been edited by jurors or organizers (like to do a slight rotation, crop or other minor adjust). I don't know if this is the right place to report this, if there is other better venue, please tell me. This is extremely annoying because a simple rotation can made the difference in a potential winner, but if the people evaluating the files fix that, the image gets excluded from the contest, as Montage interprets the new upload as being an image produced by the juror.-- Darwin Ahoy! 15:36, 2 October 2019 (UTC)

Quick answer to say that Effeietsanders escalated this internally to the rest of the WLM team, which includes Montage devs.

@Jean-Frédéric: Thanks for the update! Yes, I first noticed it on this file: File:Solar dos Freitas da Madalena - 2012-04-01 - DSC06654.jpg, which despite being mine, appeared for me to evaluate it. I presume it was because the bot uploaded a new version over the original one. I also presume the inverse is happening with the files I've adjusted by rotation or crop, they are probably falling out of the contest because Montage interprets that file as being mine.-- Darwin Ahoy! 19:45, 2 October 2019 (UTC)
Currently, Montage imports the latest version of the file available on Commons. I am not sure if this is going to change, but I left a request on Github, just in case. --Alexander 21:39, 5 October 2019 (UTC)

Also, small files as File:View from the street of chappel.jpg are being selected for evaluation by Montage, despite having ticked the option to exclude everything below 2Mb.-- Darwin Ahoy! 15:56, 2 October 2019 (UTC)

This one is easy to understand. The initial upload was slightly above 2 MPx, and you likely did the Montage import before uploading the new version, which is below 2 MPx. --Alexander 21:39, 5 October 2019 (UTC)

[possible bug] Jurors seeing different subsets of pictures?

In the WLM 2019 Slovenia campaign, we have three jurors, none of which has uploaded any photos last month. Out of 416 eligible pictures in the first round, statistics for the first juror says that he has 268 pictures to assess, the second 317 and the third 247. What could be the reason? Yerpo, you have 416 photos and 832 tasks. I think that you first asked for 2 jurors per photo and later added the third juror, which led to a non-even distribution between the different jurors. At the moment, your campaign runs in a way that each photo will be graded by two jurors. it was strange, as soon as I created a new round the campaign reappeared in the panel in the admin section, but as a juror I was told it was 100% done and could not access at the bottom, I had to log out. Unable to work in montage as it slows down

Facing issue with Montage, as most of the time it's not working properly. There are a pool of photos in the queue, we need to sort out as a part of WLM in India. I have tried Montage with different browser like Safari, and Google Chrome but problem still persists. Mainly facing three types of issues as below.

  1. Image doesn't load as one big red cross is showing (Most of the time).
  2. After giving a one vote to an image it's showing 'Saving' but not loading the next image. Than for the next image to vote, have to relogin to Montage.
  3. After a one vote to an image it's gets saved but next image not showing (Completely blank). Than for the next image to vote, have to relogin to Montage.

Please find attached screenshot of the issues.

Creating categories from selected photos

Hi everyone, I was just wondering if there is a way to categorize the selected photos from a certain round into a particular category in commons, thanks for any tips. -- Abdeaitali (talk) 08:43, 13 October 2019 (UTC)

Deleted image

Hi,

Despite careful check, a deleted image (File:Lauzerte Place des Arcades.jpg) is on the WLM 2019 France selection. Is it going to be a problem and if so how can I deal with this?

WLM 2019 Campaign Showing As Closed

Hi, I was creating a new round and the edits were not being saved. So I deleted the new round I was creating and tried to create it again. Sumit Surai, campaigns without active rounds are treated as closed, but you can always access them in the menu 'Your closed campaigns'. The campaign becomes active again once a new round is created. I just did it and created round 4 with random settings. You have to delete it and re-create the round with the correct settings. --Alexander 13:01, 15 October 2019 (UTC)

WLM Ireland Voting Issue

Hi. My judges are getting the following error: Access forbidden: not a coordinator on campaign 251. The first 2 rounds were perfect. The only thing that has changed is the method of voting: ranking. I've tried deleting the round and restarting it to no avail. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. WLM 2019 Romania voting issue

I'm both campaign coordinator and a juror for WLM 2019 Romania, but I'm not really sure how I'm supposed to start voting. Nothing looks clickable for me on the campaign page; in the first stage, the same happened, but apparently a double click on the title of the stage would send me to the voting area. Now this doesn't work. I tried logout & login, exit to main Montage page and reload campaign, different browser, different operating system, to no avail. —Andreitalk 06:21, 22 October 2019 (UTC)

WLM2019 Finland voting issue

Two jurors reported that when they reviewed all photos try to press Save around then there is error must submit all rankings at once. Expected 104, got 100.. First juror who reproted it tried three times so the error can be replicated--Zache (talk) 14:24, 23 October 2019 (UTC)

If I understood correctly it would drop too many images (and it would be socially problematic as jurors want to see good set photos) so the optimal solution would be get photos near 100. Issues with WLM rounds

Hallo, the Italian community is currently having some problems with the rounds: sometimes Montage slows down a lot, and this is a real issue for jurors that need to vote a thousand photos. Marta Arosio (WMIT), slowing down is the problem of the Toolserver that even crashed Monday afternoon. I don't know what we can do about it. Regarding your second problem, it is impossible to investigate without knowing which images were shown twice and to which jurors. Two most likely reasons are that: i) there are similar submissions that look like the same photo; ii) connection problems (on either side) did not allow Montage to record the vote, so it considered the photo as unvoted and showed it again. --Alexander 07:20, 9 October 2019 (UTC)

Problem with lossed pass of Jury member

Hi, one of our WLM juror in Perú, lossed its password, so he can't login in Montage and finish our second round. He didn't have an email associated to its account so he can't recover that pass. It's possible to change its account to another one? He'd creates a new one: Pelicano11JL instead Pelicano13 its no-pass account. Is this possible? Issues with the Desktop version of Montage

Hello @Atsirlin: , there seems to be an issue with the desktop version of the montage. I am trying to use that with campaign of Wiki Loves Pride 2019 but it seems to open only in mobile browser. I have tried changing different browsers and laptops for desktop version but it appears blank for some reason. I am added as a coordinator in the campaign and i double checked if i was logged in. Seems like there is a bug. Since the jury work is ongoing, can you please help me resolve this as soon as possible. We are on a very short deadline and this is causing a big delay in the process. Infinite loading?

Trying to load the first round of Wiki Loves Pride voting, and I just get the spinning loading circle that remains indefinitely. I've tried Chrome and Firefox on Desktop, Dolphin on mobile, and have even left it running for several hours with no progress. Any ideas? — Rhododendrites talk |  15:46, 26 November 2019 (UTC)

Wiki Science Competition 2019

Hi, we might need Montage for some national competitions of WSC2019. For sure I need it for Italy and I will send a mail if other organizers need it for other countries.

There is an annoying bug. I try to uplaod category:National finalists for the Wildlife and nature category from Wiki Science Competition 2019 and no matter what I do or the browser I use, I get only 49 files... it's not the filters, I know how to use them. User:Atsirlin I keep doing tests and it's really strange. the bug is also using my old MAC and while I was there for example I took a category with 30 files that I have not completed to fill (micrscopy) and I saved a test round with only my account. User:Atsirlin please I spent hours to create Category:National_finalists_for_the_Microscopy_category_from_Wiki_Science_Competition_2019 and I have the same issue. Ok I tried to use thsi tool to create a list but so far it's also stuck and i have never inserted files as a list. It did not upload them but in this case it might be my lack of expertise. Alexmar983, I think that there is some caching problem at Commons, because everything is very slow today, and the number of imported files increases every time I am doing the import. Which campaign should these files go to? I can import them using the file list. --Alexander 16:53, 4 May 2020 (UTC)
