Suggested edits is a feature of the Wikipedia Android app that provides users with files suggested as candidates for manual editing. For more information on how to use this feature, see its documentation.
It should not be confused with computer-aided tagging, where depicted objects are identified by computer vision.
Edits done using Suggested Edits are automatically marked with the apps-suggested-edits
tag.
Currently, this invitation to edits concerns:
- the addition and translation of file captions
- since August 2019
- the addition of depicts tags
- since May 2020
- while initially machine-inferred tags were being offered, this was disabled − users enter tags by themselves
