  • Nomination Dragonfly in Australia known appropriately as the Jewel Flutterer --Summerdrought 10:45, 22 February 2016 (UTC)
  • Decline
  •  Oppose Insufficient quality: Background posterized and DoF of Object much too shallow --Cccefalon 11:16, 22 February 2016 (UTC)
  •  Comment I agree DoF, that happens with Macro and low light. I do not understand background posterised, the background has not been edited apart from a small level change.--Summerdrought
Comment This posterization often results from too strong noise reduction or inappropriate noise reduction tools. Maybe in-camera, maybe in post processing. There is also some low frequency colour noise in the background, which can most often not be seen, if there are any structures in the background, but become visible in cases like this image, where the background has no details. Can often also be seen in clear blue sky. If a photo has big uniform areas and soft changes in colour or brightness (was heißt "sanfte Farbverläufe" auf en?) it can be useful, to leave some amount of luminance noise present. -- Smial 12:13, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
Comment Smial Thank you for your explanation, I can now see what "posterization" means. There was no editing of the background from me, so just bad luck I guess. I am withdrawing my nomination. Summerdrought
