- Support tomatillo (Physalis philadelphica) to make salsa, Corn smut (huitlacoche) (Ustilago maydis) a delicacy to use in quesadillas in Mexican food, etc., corn husks to make tamales. Taken at a street market in Guanajuato, México. -- Tomascastelazo (talk) 17:36, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
- Neutral Much prefer the composition here to the carrots pic. My eye is drawn to all three elements in turn. But the black binbag liner is really distracting and unappealing. Colin (talk) 17:59, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
- Comment The black bag is sanitary control! The picture depicts the products as well as their merchandising... On a street! So the picture has more information than just the representation of products... As C. Wright Mills suggested in his classic "The Sociological Imagination," so here we could use a little of "photographical imagination." This is, after all, an encyclopaedic endeavor, not a beauty contest. --Tomascastelazo (talk) 18:19, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
- Comment This image is of the lady selling the above products. This will give context to the candidate image... http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Merchant_woman_in_guanajuato.jpg --Tomascastelazo (talk) 05:03, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
- Yes; such pictures worth an FP; but not this closeup (IMHO). :) -- Jkadavoor (Jee) (talk) 05:42, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
- That photo is much more interesting and has a story within it (of which the binbag on the floor is part, rather than being an ugly distraction). Shame you took that one with the compact and this one with the SLR. Colin (talk) 08:57, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
- I withdraw my nomination --Tomascastelazo (talk) 01:02, 5 October 2012 (UTC)
