{{ToSVG}} is a template redirect to {{Convert to SVG}}. The main template had 21 (twenty-one) redirects, most of them just spelling variations against typing errors.

Because the main template has a rather too long name (14 characters), shortcuts exist, e.g. {{SVG}}.

The also abbreviating "ToSVG" seems not really to be needed, and I want to open the discussion whether it should be kept or not.

After I had changed all transclusions preparing its obsolence and deletion, some users like Closeapple claim to keep it. At the moment it is kind of private template redirect of this user. I understand well that he does not want to change his habits using just that redirect, and I do not like to force something.
It is an advantage for him to keep his redirect, but I am not at all sure how much it is a disadvantage to the commons when too many redirects for one template exist. Considering the fact that "SVG" is an even shorter redirect, "ToSVG" seems redundant to me and IMHO it should be deleted. sarang사랑 06:13, 17 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Keep Good mnemonic name to remember, especially for non-English speakers. Btw what's the problem with redirects? It is NOT his private template redirect since it was used by many users before you start remplacing it on hundreds of pages with VisualFileChange without any consensus to try to prove your point that it wasn't used. Seems a little bit COM:POINT for me. Thibaut120094 (talk) 07:06, 17 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
