Commons:Deletion requests/File:Tom Miller Exhibit DeRicci Gallery.JPG
Shows artworks in a gallery without permission from creator/s. Ellin Beltz (talk) 20:39, 13 April 2017 (UTC)
This picture was taken with the artist (who passed away nearly five years ago) standing next to me and was included in the article with his blessing. It would seem to me to be acceptable to include it here using the criteria established in the article "Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria". The artwork itself is not the subject per se of the image and anyone trying to re-create any of it for any type of use could not be successful. If this is not the case please let me know what needs to be done to fix the situation. Thanks for your interest. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Burnhamandroot (talk • contribs) 20:57, 14 April 2017 (UTC)
- Signing your posts is required on talk pages and it is a Commons policy to sign your posts on deletion requests, undeletion requests, and noticeboards. To do so, simply add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your comments. Your user name or IP address (if you are not logged in) and a timestamp will then automatically be added when you save your comment. Signing your comments helps people to find out who said something and provides them with a link to your user/talk page (for further discussion). Thank you.
Deleted: Fair use is not permitted on Commons. While all of the paintings are small, they are all under copyright. The image cannot be kept on Commons without a free license from the artist's heirs. . Jim . . . (Jameslwoodward) (talk to me) 11:03, 20 April 2017 (UTC)
