- Image of Thomas Moore's headstone at Arlington National Cemetery is significant to the history of the 1935 Labor Day hurricane in that Moore was one of only three of the 259 veterans killed in the storm who received burial at Arlington. President Roosevelt ordered the VA on September 4, 1935 to bury all unclaimed bodies at Arlington.
