Possible copyvio. This is from [1] (p. 175). Pls. don't get me wrong. I would prefer keeping over deletion. My intention is to clarify whether such diagrams are above or below TOO. Gretarsson (talk) 19:04, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
“Update”: OK. The File Canis lepophagus timeline.png, which is almost identical and stems from the same source, was nominated for deletion in 2016 and was kept because “plain information is not eligible for copyright”. However, at least there should have been pointed out, that it is not acceptable, that the file is claimed to be ‘own work’ and that the original work and authors are not credited at all! I don’t know how familiar you are with phylogenetic analyses, but it is damn hard work to collect and enter all the data before you eventually can conduct the analysis proper. Hence it is quite cheeky to add some color to a graphic that shows the result of such an analysis (not to mention that this is a time-calibrated tree, i.e. it includes the stratigraphic occurences of the respective taxa, which also has to be researched by its author first!) and claim it as ‘own work’! --Gretarsson (talk) 20:24, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: Data are not copyrightable per se in that context. Maybe the schema, but it can be reproduced with wikitext and templates. Ruthven (msg) 22:34, 13 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
