- (edit conflict) Previous revision stated there is sign on the webpage that "Alle mine bilder er fritt til bruk" ("All my images a free to use"), but I could not found that in web archive... But I would to believe there do exist such statement at that time per AGF, so If anyone believe this DR is inappropriate, feel free to close and modify the license (at least we should not use cc license here). Broken upload. Although this is probably from somewhere in the ANEFO collection, it's not the claimed image from https://www.nationaalarchief.nl/onderzoeken/fotocollectie/acf769bc-d0b4-102d-bcf8-003048976d84 and so we simply have no idea of the location, subject, or author. It looks like the Dutch de-colonisation of SE Asia in the 1940s, it's unlikely to belong in Category:Photographs by Marcel Antonisse. Andy Dingley (talk) 09:55, 11 February 2022 (UTC)

Keep The photograph described in the metadata (Anefo, 931-3819) is already in Commons, see this file 931-3819. This photo is from a different Nationaal Archief Collection (most likely also CC-0), and I will probably find the correct metadata in a couple of days, and change name, descriptions etc. of this photograph. {{badGIF}} images mostly representing pseudo-scientific diagrams supporting the uploader’s own unencyclopedic misinterpretations of established fact and scientific consensus (e.g. these two are especially embarassing, failing to grasp the basics of 4-dimensional curvature). None of these are in use, but still Commons should not host wholesale incorrect information like this, rather only carefully curated notable cases (such as those of Time Cube guy, maybe). Most of these images also contain uncredited clipart that is unlikely {{own work}} and might be {{copyvio}}, while the remaining few are also otherwise {{out of scope}}.

This is a photography of a real flag (object), thus the author of this photography should release it under a public domain license. Knowing that this file was uploaded from pinterest.com, the uploader of this file surely is not the author of this photography. - Keep I guess the question is: Is this image of a 300 year old flag getting a new copyright? It depends if it is a 3d object where creative decisions about lighting and angle come into play. Even paintings are actually 3d, it depends on the degree of 3dness. I don't see it as 3d, we cant see the back, it is lying flat and multiple people taking a photograph would come up with the same image. - This is not a symbol published by the Government of Poland. This is photography of an actual 3D object, thus the {{Polishsymbol}} license is not valid for this photography taken (stolen) from the internet. Otherwise, it would mean that we could steal any pictures of old objects in museums photographed by other people and upload them as PD. In my opinion, that's copyright infringement. As for the shirt, can photos of shirts not worn as part of costumes by cosplay actors be deleted for being derivative works? I thought that since they were clothing, they couldn't be, but that could depend on a particular country's law. - I'm not expert on how T-shirts interact with copyright law but the art of Chuck Norris likely was made from a photograph or some other image of him, so I'd defer to the experts as far as T-shirts go. - I am the person under concern about the picture. I am not complaining about the T-shirt itself but about the fact that my name is associated to the file of the picture so when somebody look for me in Google they get that picture. In case companies look for information about me for a job selection process I don't want them to find that picture as it was uploaded without my consent. To avoid problems of this type related to my digital fingerprint, I would like the name of the file to be changed or the picture to be eliminated. If you go to the source, you can clearly see that is an extract from a 1931 painting by de:Franz Triebsch, who died in 1956, and not at all "anonymous" as claimed. I contacted Dr. David R. Williams, who is listed as the contact person for that web page to verify the status of this image. Sendind a permission to VRT is not the only way to give an authorization, see Commons:Volunteer_Response_Team#When_contacting_VRT_is_unnecessary, and since the WLM Italia authorization are a lot sending all of them to VRT would be higly unpractical. This file is discussed in COM:VPCOPY (oldid). There, they said that the logo may more likely be copyrightable in Vietnam, despite lack of info about Vietnam's originality standards. One article discusses the matter about Vietnamese logos, but I'm unsure whether it helps much. It discusses trademark and personal creation, but there's not much detail about an organization's logo. Enough about Vietnam's law, as I must say, the logo may more likely pass the US's threshold due to its complexity, especially the leaves or petals surrounding the pentagon. - I had not noticed the OTRS claim, but this may not be what it appears to be.
- There is no valid OTRS notice on the page, and no indication that this file has been checked by a member of the Commons VRT (OTRS team).
- The 'read authorization' link at it:Autorizzazioni_ottenute#Diocesiprato.it does not work. It probably should be it:Wikipedia:Autorizzazioni_ottenute#Diocesiprato.it. This indicates "Materiale autorizzato – sito web, testo e foto", meaning that text and photos from the specified website are included.
- The permission statement on the file specifies "they authorized to use the images by wikipedia". Authorisation for Wikipedia is insufficient for Commons.
- Although the Roman Catholic Diocese of Prato should be assumed to be reputable, they may not be familiar with the concepts of derivative works and freedom of panorama. Most of the photos on their website are of people.[7]
- The diocese may have obtained permission from Greco's estate for use of the image on their website, but they are less likely to have have obtained permission to release the image to third parties with a CC license.

- In Italy there is the law of "Usucapione" (en:usucaption, or acquisitive prescription): if you claim something is yours for a certain lenght of time and nobody complains, then after that fixed amount of time it is certainly yours, no matter how you obtained. For immaterial goods it is 10 years, so we should not care about old OTRS authorization when more than 10 years have gone through, in this case 15 years is MORE than enough. We all know back in the days OTRS used to accept texts and images more easily than today, but after all this time there is no longer need to periodically revise old authorizations. For this reason we should Speedy keep this image. While the OTRS permission by the diocese of Prato may cover the photograph as such, I don't see it covering the copyrights of the sculptor. And while I know the concept of usucapione (de:Ersitzung in German), this usually applies to physical objects, land and real estate and any rights tied to that real estate (like rights of way). I looked at the respective articles of the Italian Civil Code (1158 ff.) and from what I saw, it's the same in Italy. May have lacked copyright notice. However, the film still is of a British film Escapade, and British works like this one can still be copyrighted even without a notice, despite American distribution. More likely a property of the then-active film company. - That's true. That could be a use for the image file of rotated version of the scanned PDF page. However, this rotated image is not linked to anywhere, so nobody is bound to find it. Fortunately, the text version of the table has been validated on Wikisource which is transcluded near the bottom of Chapter 25 of Das Kapital. So it's probably not worth keeping. [edit]This is a copyrighted assemblage artwork by artist w:en:Chris Burden. There is no freedom of panorama in the United States for non-architecture. This was the subject of a lawsuit filed by the estate of Burden against an Indonesian theme park, with the trial held in Indonesia, over an Indonesian copycat/imitation (Love Light) installed in the said theme park. The case concluded in 2021 that the copycat did infringed Burden's copyright, and the Indonesian court ordered the theme park to dismantle their copycat and pay Rp1,000,000,000 (US$69,000) to the estate of the artist of Urban Light. (Asia IP law article, Managing IP article).
Since the case concluded in favor of the heirs of sculptor, it is safe to say that this light assemblage is an artwork worthy of copyright protection despite its seemingly ordinary appearance.

However, just for the record, I believe it's possible some photos featuring Urban Light may be within a de minimis exception. Photos of Urban Light as the primary subject are strictly out, but wide panoramic photos of the LACMA landscape incidentally featuring Urban Light seem more likely to be exempt as a de minimis inclusion. I don't know where I'd draw that line exactly, although imo none of the images listed above would meet a de minimis standard.
