English: Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps. These detailed maps were created for many towns in the United States in multiple editions over a century. Many are available here. Purpose of the maps is to provide fire insurance for individual buildings, frequently focusing on commercial buildings. While most maps are made for US towns, a few exist for towns in other countries.
