This hut was the second DOC hut on the Milford Track, at the head of the Clinton Valley, Fiordland. The next hut, the third and last one, is the Dumpling Hut.
The hut has been replaced by the new Mintaro Hut in April 2021 which is located 1.5 km further up valley from the old hut.
