The MetroClub Condominiums at 201 North 8th Street between Race and Winter Streets, in the Center City area of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was converted in 2005 from the former Metropolitan Hospital, also called the Franklin Square Hospital and Cooper Hospital-Center City, was built in 1969, but shut down in 1993 due to financial problems. Matthew Koenig of JK Roller Architects was the architect for the conversion of the 216,00 square foot building; Marquerite Rodgers, Ltd designed the common areas. (Sources: [1], [2], [3] and [4])
