English: McRae a former city in Telfair County, Georgia, United States. Based on the 2010 census, the town has a total population of 5,740. Between 1990 and 2000, the town experienced a population decrease of 10.8%, compared to the state growth during this period of 26.4%. The town is the county seat of Telfair County. McRae was incorporated March 3, 1874 and was named for a pioneering Scottish family. In 2015 the town merged with the adjacent city of Helena to form McRae-Helena.
