Views of the Holy Land

English: Color prints from photographs showing late 19th century views, primarily of Palestine (present day Israel and the West Bank), Lebanon, and Syria. Locations depicted include Bethlehem, Haifa, Jerusalem, the site of the ancient city of Capernaum (formerly Mount of Beautitudes), Nablus (formerly Napulus), and Tiberias. Also includes views of Az-Zabdani (Anti-Lebanon Mountains), Damascus, Syria; and Baʻlabakk, Lebanon. Many of the views show people including Arabs, Bedouins, and Jews, working, praying, and in other daily activities.
