These artifacts from Finlaggan were uncovered during excavation at Eilean Mòr in Loch Finlaggan. It was formerly the capital of the Kingdom of the Isles, a mediaeval state, the first of the Scots in Britain, ruled by Gaelic-speaking clans. They took it militarily from the Scandinavian previous owners. The graves are those of warriors and their kin. The island remains only partially excavated. The artifacts are housed is a museum in the Visitor Center.
