The Altenburg pattern is a house pattern of ASS Altenburger which maintains copyright over it. It was designed in the German Democratic Republic (East Germany) by Walter Krauss in the 1960s. Today, it is common in Central Germany as well as parts of Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia.
