English: The 1921 Duesenberg Grand Prix Racer, also known as the "Murphy Special", is the winning car of the 1921 French Grand Prix and 1922 Indianapolis 500. Jimmy Murphy won the 1921 French Grand Prix with this car, making it the first American racing car to win a Grand Prix race in Europe. In 1922, Murphy won the Indianapolis 500 with this car. Since its engine was changed from a Duesenberg to a Miller, he entered the car as the "Murphy Special". Currently, this car is owned by the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame Museum, with 1921 French Grand Prix livery (Car # 12).
